Deleting your account

How to delete your Guardia Civil account, what is removed, and what stays with your location.

Last updated: 9 September 2026

Delete your account in the app

You can delete your Guardia Civil account yourself, at any time, from inside the app — on Android, on iPhone, or in a browser at app.guardiacivil.ph.

  1. Sign in to Guardia Civil.
  2. Tap Settings — the button in the lower corner of any screen.
  3. Scroll to Delete my account.
  4. Read what will be removed, then type your current password to confirm.

The account is deleted straight away. There is no waiting period and no email to confirm — once it is done, that sign-in no longer exists and cannot be restored.

What is deleted

  • Your account — your name, email, mobile number and password.
  • Your sign-in credentials, and every session on every device you were signed in on.
  • Your membership of every location you belong to, and any delegate access you granted or were granted.
  • A trial location that nobody else belongs to — the one you created to try the service — together with everything in it: its visitors, passes, entry points, watchlist and gate records.

What is kept, and why

A location that other people belong to is not deleted when you leave it. Its gate records — scan events, visit entry and exit times, incidents and emergency alerts — stay with the location.

Those records are the location’s security log, not your personal data alone. They say what happened at a gate, to visitors and residents who are not you, and deleting them would erase that history for everyone else at that location. Where a record named you, the link to your membership is removed and the record keeps its place.

Each location sets its own retention window for visitor data, after which Guardia Civil purges those personal records automatically — see the Privacy Policy. We also keep backups for a limited period for disaster recovery.

If the app will not let you delete

Three situations stop a deletion, because something other than your own account would be damaged by it. The app tells you which one applies.

  • You sign in with a badge. Guards sign in with a badge code and PIN issued by their location, not with a password, so there is nothing to confirm against. Ask that location’s administrator to remove your badge and membership.
  • You are the only administrator of a location that still has members. Promote another administrator, or remove the remaining members, and then delete your account.
  • You are the only member of an active location. An active location is a customer’s location and its records belong to it, so closing it is a conversation rather than a side effect. Hand it to another administrator, or contact us to close it.

If you cannot sign in

Email privacy@guardiacivil.ph from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We will verify that the address is yours before we act. For help with a location — closing it, or handing it over — write to hello@guardiacivil.ph.
